1998 Carver 405 Aft CabinFreshwater Motor YachtThis beautiful, spacious yacht has been used only in freshwater and has been stored under cover for her entire life. The light finished wood interior makes her salon light and airy. The two cabins (each with head) are on opposite ends of the boat, giving maximum privacy for a boat of this length. The galley is down with a convenient booth style table. A 3-burner electric range, microwave, and large over-under freezer fridge make living aboard comfortable. The aft cabin has a walk-around queen, with memory-foam mattress. The attached head is spacious with separate shower. There are two marine air systems (one fore, one aft). One was replaced two years ago.All electronics are Raymarine. The boat has two stereo systems and two flat screen TVs that are wired for Direct TV. The large Danforth anchor is managed by a dual-station electric windlass (one on deck, one at the helm). Visibility from the bridge is excellent, making the vessel easy to manage in tight quarters.A Kohler 8E generator supplies electricity to all 110 volt when on anchor. A house bank of two gel batteries supply the 12 volt systems. Two lead/acid batteries serve the engines.The vessel holds 342 gallons of fuel in 3 separate tanks, giving her great range. She has a 70 gallon fresh water tank and two holding tanks with a total capacity of 64 gallons.The "poop deck" is a great entertaining space, fully enclosed with zippered eisenglass. There is a sink and ice maker (new in May 2016) surrounded by teak furniture (new in February 2016), which will remain with the boat. A generous swim platform makes this a great boat for all your adventures.The bottom was been repainted in Fall of 2015 and all strut bearings and zincs are new in May 2016.
